Our culture provides and trains us to demand instant gratification in every area of our lives. Our phones offer us the world at our fingertips and we fret when the internet runs even a little bit slower than usual. Yet there are things in this world and aspects of God that refuse to speed up. God insists that there is a value to some things that are slow, and Paul even defines love as patient. In this season of advent, our speaker uses the Bible, app culture and economics to explore practices that can help us embrace the slower nature of God while also re-evaluating what matters the most.
